Oh Whoa Kitty Okay
And still does, apparently.
Because this handsome little gray fellow had been showing up at our friends' place. They tried to figure out if he belonged to anyone, but no luck (no microchip or anything either). Apparently he's friendly and in good health, but they can't keep him because of their dogs.
So we get an email. Would we like a cat the day after we get back from vacation?
And you know me.
He's coming over tonight. We'll see how this goes. I got a litterbox ready and busted out the food bowl and water bistro again. I'm not getting my hopes too far up, based on two things. 1.) He came to them from outside, so apartment living simply may not suit him, and 2.) we have this... baby. Hope he's okay with babies. If either of those things keeps him from settling in after a few weeks, he may need to find a happier home elsewhere, but I do want to give this a shot.
I'll probably sweep the internet for the basics, but if anyone has any other tips for successfully and non-stressfully introducing a cat to a new household, I'm all ears.
